Have A Quacking Good Friday

Whilst all of you are kicking back this Good Friday, all of us at We Let Properties are supporting the newest member of our team, Darryl, who is taking part in the rigorous and extreme sporting event held on our very own river Irwell at Spinningfields.

What is this exciting event being held, I hear you ask? Well, Darryl will be competing against numerous other companies for podium spot in The Manchester Duck Race. Sounds incredible right!?
From 12:00 noon families can take part in a mini duck race head to www.ticketsource.co.uk/brainwave where you will be given the chance to buy your mini rubber duckies! All the ducks will be let out and the first 5 to cross the line will win prizes, of which the details can be found on The Spinningfields website along with further details on how to enter and what is happening.

Then, the pros hit the water. At 14:00, 80 larger, fully trained, duck racing machines will be speeding, at tops of 2 whole miles per hour, against each other for the mother duck spot! Our very own Darryl Duck has been in training since February, earning his red white and silver colours in our Olympic sized bathtub! With collaboration from 4th Worsley Scouts he now has a purpose built, 100% aerodynamic, state of the art polystyrene float designed to cut through the waves, knock over the opponents and finish first! Incorporating Manchester's iconic Beetham tower, the beautiful Cathedral, stylish Great Northern Tower and the sloping Urbis building along with a camp site with ducklings and camp fire we are sure Darryl is in for the win!
