The development comprises 207 apartments at the convergence of the River Irwell with the River Medlock. The massing of the development comprises two, six storey linear forms, which converge at the apex of the site. The Irwell block is surmounted by a seven storey tower giving the development landmark proportions.
All apartments have either a river aspect or views over the central landscaped courtyard. Car domination is avoided by under croft parking. The white rendered elevations are โ€˜softened' with hardwood screens. Vertical projecting fins, clad in zinc, provide support and privacy to the balconies. Render gives way to zinc on the tower, expressing the change in building form.
