At We Let Properties, we’re often approached by landlords who are experiencing poor service, ever increasing costs or extortionate maintenance charges from their current agents. Landlords can feel trapped by the thought that they are only able to switch letting agents when their current tenants vacate and some are surprised to learn that it is possible and easy for them to change letting agent whilst keeping the current tenants in place with little to no disruption. On many occasions, tenants are feeling the same pains as their landlords with unanswered communications or unactioned maintenance so most tenants welcome the change!

We are therefore proud to offer our Agent Switch Service to landlords who already have tenants in place but are either disappointed with their current agents or simply fancy a change. Designed with maximum effect and minimal hassle, this is a popular option that can change your experience of letting.

The Agent Switch Service is exactly the same as our Managed Service, but as your tenants are already in place, there is no set up fee. Once you’re happy for We Let Properties to take the reins, you just email your current letting agent advising that you wish to terminate their services and that we’ll be taking over then you can kick back and relax whilst we coordinate the whole process for you.

We will immediately contact your current letting agent to obtain the: tenants contact, right to rent and referencing information, tenancy agreement, inventory, deposit registration details, management keys, energy performance certificate, gas safety certificate, electrical inspection condition report and any other documentation relevant to your property or the tenancy.

It's important to us to introduce ourselves properly to your tenants, so we’ll take the time to meet them at your property to discuss the details of the changeover. We’ll also take this opportunity to conduct an up to date property inspection for you and ensure they are able to set up a standing order for the future rent payments to be made to our client account in time for the next rent due date. We’ll discuss our feedback with you after our visit to the property so you can be confident that your tenancy is moving in the right direction and your investment is being looked after appropriately now.
